How many of you are still skeptical that our Lions will kick some Tiger ass? You see, humans are funny creatures. Rather then defend and make do with the resources that they already have, they will give smartass remarks just to bring down a fellow human or hope to get hero-fied by their fellow peers .
Let me give an example.
Class 12-1-20-23 is always abuzz with new songs and as and when a spark floats by, they will brainstorm to make the idea work. They are not doing this to seek attention or approval from anyone but they are doing this cause they like doing it and also to bring their cause to a whole new level. Being a class where its made up of different ideals and individuals, there is bound to be conflicts or misunderstanding. An act from an individual from the class does not represent the class as a whole. One fine day, another student from a different class said this "Why are you all so busy making new songs when you can just use Mary had a little lamb?". What did class 12-1-20-23 do? Nothing cause they respect that everyone is entitled to their own opinions and by reacting, it will only make things worse. The class embraces diversity and is open to any suggestions.
When the league has no support, people say no one is interested, when the support comes, people question what would their agenda be and are they just out for freebies? Why cant everyone just get along, you do your part and I do mine?
Yeah oh yeah oh yeah.. You are the one Singapore
Now is the time here we go.. Yeah oh yeah oh yeah..

Hot Hot Chicken Shit
What happened to the hype? What happened to now I can start interacting again with my non-Chinese friends? With the recent sellout, one would expect a close to another sell out attendance last night. But I guess Singapoliens would rather curse Mediakop(You'll never come home alone) for not showing it live. Even TNP (The Noose Paper) did no pre-match reports on the Friendly. Come on lah local media more can be done, you can even do a series of players' bio, possible formations to build the hype towards the Malaysian game and not build up the hype 2 to 3 days before.
A win is a win be it scrappy, lucky or handsome. Yes the team needs improvement (every team does as no human is perfect), but why put the boys down instead of encouraging them as what fans should do? So what if you are a paying fan? Does it give you that right? Talk is cheap. If you are so good then you wouldn't be in the stands as a supporter.
Singapoliens would always be hard to please. Tickets sold out, they say stadium too small. Built a big stadium they say white elephant. No live coverage, they show their patriotism. Show live coverage they say its ok RTM1 will show it anyways. Tell them better buy tickets early, they slow slow go. Tickets snapped up within hours, they say kiasu queue up since 10PM the night before and they just want to be in the limelight.
Conclusion:
Comments are like arseholes, everyone has one. No matter what is done, you cannot please everyone for there will always be a wet blanket/black shit sheep. Things are done as such for a reason. The system has been around for ages and yes improvements can be made here and there. Changes need time and you cannot force what you dont like down other'sarse throat. Robin Hood is a hero yes but he still committed a crime by stealing.
PS: to my non-malay friends, Hot hot chicken shit is translated directly from a malay proverb "angat angat tahi ayam". It has the same meaning as Semangat 50sen where it means your passion/interest only lasts for a whilefor you are a pre-mature ejaculator.

Reply to - Malaysia Cup: It can unify us again
(http://www.todayonline.com/Voices/EDC110714-0000171/Malaysia-Cup--It-can-unify-us-again)
Letter from Lim Wee Teck, Anak Singa's reply in Blue.
Twenty two years ago, I went to a Malaysia Cup match alone at the National Stadium and it started my brief love affair with it. Besides the electrifying atmosphere which made my hair stand on end, I mingled freely with Singaporeans from all walks of lives. It was during this period where I grew quite close to my Malay and Indian friends as we discussed and watch matches frequently. On the stands, we don't care about our races as we sit where we like on the wooden benches and do the Kallang wave in unison to intimidate the opponents. It was truly a unforgettable experience that help shaped my growing up years.
Its cool that you had to experience the Malaysia Cup days that helped shaped you up. Let's be realistic la, in Singapore you can mingle around anywhere and with whoever freely dosen't necessarily be at the stadium during Malaysia Cup days also. Even if you go to an SLeague game you can still experience that and official fan clubs would be more then welcome for you to join them cheering the team. If you want a heads up on which fan club, try the HOOLs from Hougang Uniteed FC (Im not being biased ok?! buuutttttt Im Hougang till I die, Im Hougang till I die.. I know I am, Im sure I am Im Hougang till I die!). Open your eyes and heart dont be stereotypical to races and jeng jeng jenng welcome to the brotherhood of being a fan.
After the last victory in 1994, it was taken away and sadly the interaction with my non-Chinese friends also went away. The recent news of Singapore getting back into the Malaysia Cup fold is great. The benefits can be twofold. First it can rekindle the dwindling interest in local soccer.
Its sad la to know since 1994 your non-Chinese interaction ended. Its a lame excuse. Then I shall say this, when the non-Chinese started to build loyalties in the SLeague, why didnt you pick an SLeague Club to continue your "interaction"? Are you implying that the non-Chinese are blind followers? I personally know of a couple of Chinese friends who has pledged undying loyalties to their respective Sleague Clubs. Are you one of those brought up with the beliefs that Muthu is a money changer, Ali sells Satay? Oh wait, maybe you did pick an Sleague Club and then found it to be "boring" and you rather watch and follow the Blue Scums in their title chase. The benefits can be twofold? Nope, it will only mean your interest will only be on the MSL while we will do what we do best for the Sleague. Dwindling interest in local soccer? Its only because people like you are premature ejaculators. (refer to previous post)
Secondly it can be used as part of nation building. With the recent influx of foreigners from China/India/Malaysia, the FAS can consider hiring a few famous and good soccer players from these countries to boost the young team. Foreigners who are working here may just turn up to support Singapore as a result and integration can take place easily on the stadium terraces.
Everything can be used as part of nation building. Why must always depend on foreigners one? You think our Local Boys are not good enough meh? I will proudly say you are WRONG. Hire few famous and good soccer players? Erm who do you have in mind ah? Beckham? Rooney? Ronaldo? or you want to hire those semi retired ones? You think like the PAPayas. I rest my case and you can get your votes from the new citizens.
With this in mind, I will be looking forward to watch Singapore next year in the Malaysia Cup.
Ah boy ah prease la.. "I will be looking forward to" still means to me your one of those Semangat 50sen.

Semangat 50 sen - The 50 cents Spirit
In view of the recent news that was deemed to be a big announcement, fans have been united divided, brothers bickering and punters planning. With great powers comes great responsibilities or so they say but every decision has its own set of PROS and CONS. I shall give my 2 cents worth as a fan and my honest humble opinion.
As a fan
Who wouldn't welcome this move as there will be guaranteed strong emotional rivalries week in and week out. The SLeague will be a buzz with an SLeague team facing the Halimau Kuda at least once every week.
The boys playing in the MSL would gain hostile crowd exposure as every M-citizen "hates" S-citizens. Would playing the MSL improve our boys' standards? Only time will tell.
As a fan I would say this:
I support a local team!
Local team!
Local team!
ISUPPORTALOCALTEAAMMM!"
Supporting local football does not mean that I support the Organization behind it. I support the effort and passion shown on the field by the boys that play their hearts out. What goes on behind the scenes, not mypasal problem. What the boys I adore do in their personal lives, its their lives not mine - judge the professional doing his profession with regards to his job scope and not going out with someone's wife then tell papers after kena hantam.
My honest humble opinion
Like the PAPaya which does risk management andexcellent foresight, I am sure that this had been "planned" properly and every single factor considered thoroughly. Is this a knee jerk attempt to get fans back by providing a "win win" situation? Zhun Bo win win?
Singgapolien are known to be fair weathered, its been provenmany thousands time. With this online Hooray we're back in the MLeague now, how many of them are true fans? Let's see how many will be left when the team starts loosing not doing well. First things first its the MSL now, no more MLeague, secondly what makes you think the MSL is better then the SLeague, thirdly when the BPL starts, lets see where you stand.
Mind all of you this would be an under 23 years old team with the options of upsize, change your drink to any 5 of the drinks provided and changing your fries to Twister fries. And please lah if you wanna tell these fair minded Singgapolien something, report properly leh.. You just want to create the buzz by telling people we're back and the team will be known as Singapore Lions. Singapore Lions is the National Team lehh.. Kum Lan!
I am not an expert nor the Pope who's opinions count. I am just a football fan that wants to cheer and be proud of my team. Football is a game with passion, its fans are also the same. I cheer cause of my beliefs and not because you forced me to. Time will tell if your really there for Singapore Soccer or not. And hence semangat 50 sen which means, your passion/enthusiasm only lasts for a while. In lay-man terms, your a pre-mature ejaculator who cant satisfy your woman cause you came before she climaxed.
